Hout Bay Vlakkenberg Mountain From Constantia Nek

• 3 - 4 Hours Hike excluding photo and rest stops.
• Reasonable fitness required as the path can be quite rocky and steep in places.
• Start at Constantia Nek and climb the steep rocky path up Vlakkenberg.
• The path at the top is quite overgrown in places as it dips down into the valley beyond. Up a steep rise onto the contour path, and then the amazing views of the mountains and valleys begin.
• Walk ends at Blue Valley Road - down the steep road to meet up with the Main Road into Hout Bay.
• One can continue along the Contour Path right to the end, and walk down the mountainside to end at Hout Bay Beach.
• Take Water, Sunscreen, Hat, Warm Jersey, Camera and Binoculars
